Northeast FSYC 2026 Reflections -Week 4

At Sugar Island, I taught some people about the Indian Cucumber. It grows in the earth like a carrot but it’s white and tastes like starchy cucumber-carrot flavor, the texture is like a raw potato. I learned about safety when knocking down widow makers in trails, I think that’s when I had my most fun that and knocking over standing dead trees. I think I have bonded a good bit with my crew mates and people we had worked with over that week. I don’t really like canoeing, but canoeing with my crew mate/cousin Kaden was cool. Though it was his first time sitting in the back, so it was a little sketchy, but we made it back to the truck safely.
