Legacy Giving
The Forest Stewards Guild is both proud and humbled when someone wishes to include us and our mission in their will. We work every day with the past, present, and future in mind.

We are always available to speak with you about including the agency in your will, trust, or estate plans. If you are considering a bequest, please let us know so we can thank you and you can share these details with your financial advisor or attorney:

Tax ID / EIN: 85-0446866

Sponsorships
Sponsorship giving at the Guild is designed for us to partner with corporations or others who share our values. When you sponsor the Guild, you let your clients, customers, and supporters know that what we do is important to you, and that is very important to us!
We have two types of Sponsorships, Organizational Sponsorships, which are gifts of $1,000 or higher, which help us bring our mission to life all year long, and Event Sponsorships which support a specific activity. The goal of most of these events is to educate, reach out, or collaborate and learn with others interested in responsible forest management.
Event sponsors help make events accessible and successful. In some cases, we couldn't host an event without you! Feel free to explore the links for more information.

Creative Giving
We strive to make supporting the Guild as accessible as possible! This means that we also accept the following gift types. If you’d like to make a creative contribution of any kind not listed here, reach out to connect with our staff.
DAFs: Donor Advised Funds have never been more popular! They act similar to charitable savings accounts, typically associated with a Community Foundation. The Guild is set up to accepts DAFs. We will be searchable by our EIN, 85-0446866.
QCDs: If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a powerful, tax-free impact by donating directly from your Traditional IRA. A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to transfer donations without that distribution counting as taxable income. There are some important restrictions and details to be aware of, so to learn more, simply contact your IRA custodian.
Car donations: Did you know a junk vehicle could result in hundreds of dollars donated to the Guild? We partner with CARS to make donating a vehicle easy! CARS works with nonprofits nationwide to help manage pick-up, tax information, and processing vehicles. The proceeds of your donation will arrive from CARS to the Guild. Learn more here.
Estate Jewelry: The Guild also partners with Gold4Good to support donations of estate jewelry. Gold 4 Good will recycle and refine your old chains, rings, bracelets, mismatched cufflinks or earrings, and send a check for market value of your gold or platinum items to the Guild. It’s the environmentally responsible thing to do, as it offsets the need for mining fresh gold in the poorest areas of the world. You can learn more and begin processing a donation here.
