Over these past couple of weeks the NERI Crew has the opportunity to take a break and explore some of beautiful scenery in the area where we were working in. We visited several overlooks, including the Grandview overlook, Turkey Spur overlook, North Rim Trail, and those three offered incredible views of the New River and surrounding landscape. We also had the chance to hike the Tunnel Trail, where we enjoyed seeing the unique rock formations.
Exploring these locations gave us a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the park and learn more about the areas geology and history behind it. These experiences made our time in the field even more rewarding and gave us a greater appreciation for the landscape we are helping to preserve.
